I’ve started Sunshine’s
birthday letter, and I’ve got a few things running through my head about the
recent tragedy in Connecticut, but I’ve been too busy, or too tired and
overwhelmed to get those together. So I thought I’d post a quickie for Lori’s
Perfect Moment Monday.
I sometimes feel a twinge of
guilt and sadness that I often miss terrific photo opportunities, but I know
it’s generally because I’m right there in the moment with my girl. Even when I
do take some pictures, it might be 5 or 10 pictures instead of a dozen or so.
My Perfect Moment, for instance. I took Sunshine to a chocolate workshop last
week. For the first part I was too involved with helping her to take my camera
or phone out of my pockets. I wish I’d thought to hand my camera to an employee,
but I did get a few winners later. Most importantly, Sunshine had a BLAST! It
was awesome watching her have so much fun.
Wishing you a wonderful 2013
from our little family.

Doesn't get much perfecter than a loved one and chocolate, does it?
I'm so glad you're in the moment with Sunshine so much of the time. (But I'm also happy you managed to share these images with us!).
Wishing you both a fantastic 2013!
Chocolate and a beautiful girl--that does sound perfect! Hope your holidays were wonderful!
Ah, how precious!
Wishing you all a great 2013!
So precious! And sometimes ... those images you have in your head are the ones that matter most. :) (even if we enjoy seeing the ones you capture digitally, too!)
Happy New Year to you & Sunshine. How did she get so big?? I'm like you that I often miss great photo ops that I regret later but at least in the moment I was there 100%
You may also have the excuse for not photographing that your hands were covered in chocolate -- at least that would have been my excuse.
Happy New Year, my friend.
Happy New Year! I know what you mean, but you have to admit that looking at pictures brings back sweet memories. And this is my incentive for taking pictures, I want to never forget, as I am wont to, beingma simple human and all. :-)
So cute! Sunshine is definitly enjoying a perfect moment. Sometimes we spend so much time recording the moments we miss them. Glad you were fully able to enjoy the chocolaty good fun.
Here via Perfect Moment Mondays... What a great post! First of all, I love that there is such a thing as a chocolate workshop and that you and sunshine got to experience that together! Secondly, I admire your restraint w/ picture taking. I often spend more time behind my camera or photo lense than I should, when I could be in the moment more. I need to take less pictures with cameras and keep more mental images in my head, as Justine said. Those memories are just as special and important. Thank you for an adorable post, with a great reminder of what's important, as we head into this new year! Happy 2013!
Here via Perfect Moment Monday. Looks like she (and you!) had a lot of fun! I often wonder if I miss out on fun because I've got my camera with me :)
Oh my! These images of your 'Sunshine' are really a photo essay of 'Perfect Moment Monday'
May you and we have many more in 2013.
